Perry is a small city in Utah. It is located in Box Elder County of the state of Utah. The area, which is now known as Perry, was claimed by Orrin Porter Rockwell in the mid-18th century, and later people began to settle in the area. In 1898, the area was renamed Perry after a renowned early settler named Gustavus Adolphus Perry. The current town of Perry is located in southeastern Box Elder County. The city is bordered by Willard to the south; the east side is bordered by Cache National Forest, Brigham City to the north, and the northern end of the Wasatch Range. The city has historically been principally agricultural, consisting of dairies, cattle farms, and orchards, with many fruits, stands along U.S. 89. It is now a suburban residential neighborhood with some economic activity along the northern border with Brigham City and along U.S. 89. The total area of the city is 8.0 square miles, and according to the census of 2010, the city was home to 4512 people. The city has four playgrounds, one with a baseball diamond and room for soccer. One with two soccer fields and one is a nature park. It's a peaceful town with lots of orchards and other farming.
